Job Description

Working from our office five days a week, you will be responsible for preparing accurate, competitive estimates for shopfitting and commercial interior projects Australia wide. You'll work closely with our project management, design and construction teams to ensure every quote reflects true project scope, cost and profitability.

Key responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects including joinery for shopfitting, retail and commercial projects

n

Interpret drawings, specifications and scopes of works to identify all cost elements

n

Source and negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers

n

Prepare and submit tender and quotation documentation within deadlines

n

Liaise with clients, project managers and our director throughout the tender process and oversee this process

n

Track market pricing trends and maintain up-to-date supplier/subcontractor rates

n

Assist with handover of successful projects to the project management team

n

Be able to achieve set KPIs for your role

n

Maintain accurate estimating records and cost databases and ensure all data is up to date and always thinking of improvements to the systems to reflect current markets

Ability to sell the job to the client and interact with the clients as this role is customer focused

About you

n





Minimum 5 years' experience working as an Estimator with a background in shop fit outs or building industry

n

Strong understanding of construction methods, materials and commercial fitout processes

n

Ability to read and interpret architectural and construction drawings

n

Excellent numeracy, attention to detail and time management skills

n

Confident communicator, comfortable liaising with clients, trades, suppliers and internal teams

n

Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office (Excel essential)

n

Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously

n

Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a team-first attitude
