You’ll work collaboratively with surgeons, anaesthetic staff and the wider multidisciplinary team, using your clinical skills and evidence-based practice to support positive patient outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality and patient-centred nursing care in the Scrub/Scout role.
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care using an evidence-based approach.
- Maintain effective communication with patients, colleagues and other health professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Contribute to quality improvement, audits, safety initiatives and service development within the theatre workplace.
What you need
- Operating Services at University Geelong Main theatre offers a round-the-clock service with ten operating theatres.
- Registered Nurse with minimum of 12 months acute nursing experience.
- Previous operating theatre experience.
