Are you an experienced Production Planner looking for your next challenge in a fast-paced manufacturing environment?

Hive & Wellness Australia – home to Capilano Honey, Barnes Naturals and some of Australia's most loved honey brands – is looking for a highly organised and commercially minded Production Planner & Scheduler to join our Operations team at our Richlands site.

In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring customer demand is met by translating forecasts and demand into achievable production and material plans. You will work closely with Production, Procurement, Warehousing, Customer Service and Supply Chain to optimise manufacturing capacity, inventory levels and service performance.

About the Role

Reporting to the General Manager Operations, you will be responsible for managing production planning across short, medium and longer-term horizons.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Developing and maintaining detailed short-term production schedules, finite capacity plans and longer-term production outlooks.

Balancing customer demand, production capacity, labour availability and material constraints.

Optimising production sequencing to minimise downtime, waste and changeovers.

Monitoring schedule adherence and implementing recovery plans where required.

Managing MRP outputs and supporting effective material and inventory planning.

Maintaining accurate planning and scheduling data within the ERP system, including Bills of Materials, routings, lead times, safety stock and production rates.





Developing capacity models and identifying current and future manufacturing bottlenecks.

Providing recommendations on labour, overtime, resource requirements and production line utilisation.

Working closely with Production, Procurement, Warehousing, Customer Service and Quality teams to manage supply, inventory and capacity risks.

Supporting new product launches, promotional activity and operational planning initiatives.

Driving improvements to planning processes, systems, reporting tools and operational efficiency.

Supporting food safety, quality, traceability, compliance and safety requirements.

About You

You are a highly organised and analytical planner who enjoys solving complex problems and bringing clarity to a fast-moving manufacturing environment.

You will ideally have:

A minimum of 3 years’ experience in production planning, supply planning, scheduling or manufacturing planning.

Demonstrated experience managing MRP outputs and production schedules within an ERP environment.

Experience balancing demand, inventory, material availability and manufacturing capacity.

Strong knowledge of MRP, capacity planning, inventory management and production scheduling principles.





Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong analytical and problem-solving capability.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Strong organisational and time management skills.

Experience working collaboratively across Operations, Supply Chain and Procurement.

Experience using QAD or another ERP system such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Oracle, JDE or Pronto will be highly regarded. Experience within FMCG, food, beverage, packaging or process manufacturing is also desirable.
