Core4 is looking for an experienced Lead Carpenter to join our growing team and take the lead on a variety of commercial construction, fit-out and refurbishment works. This is a hands‑on role suited to a qualified carpenter who enjoys being on the tools but is also confident leading a small team, coordinating works on site and taking ownership of getting the job done. Projects span commercial, hospitality, retail and property environments, meaning there is plenty of variety. Some short periods of interstate travel may be required depending on project requirements.

Key responsibilities

- Carrying out commercial carpentry, fit-out and refurbishment works
- Leading and supporting a small team on site
- Coordinating day‑to‑day site activities and keeping works progressing
- Ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard
- Reading and interpreting plans and drawings
- Identifying and resolving construction issues as they arise
- Working closely with subcontractors,



trades and the Projects team
- Maintaining a clean, safe and professional worksite

About you

- Certificate III in Carpentry
- Solid carpentry experience, ideally within commercial construction, fit-out or refurbishment
- Previous experience leading or supervising other trades or labourers
- Strong construction knowledge and ability to interpret drawings
- Ability to plan ahead, problem‑solve and work independently
- Good communication and organisation skills
- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
- Current driver’s licence
- White Card
- Full Australian working rights
