- Provide primary care services which includes:
n
- Taking medical history
n
- Undertaking clinical examination
n
- Arranging any necessary investigations
n
- Implementing a management plan
n
- Providing appropriate preventive health care
n
- Conduct regular reviews and follow ups with aged care residents.
n
- Contribution to health assessments and medication management for current resident admissions.
n
- Perform annual health assessment reviews for existing residents.
n
- Review multidisciplinary care plans and participate in case conferences when needed.
n

Other Key responsibilities

n

n
- Provide immediate assessment, diagnosis and treatment of clients in an emergency situation
n
- Provide advice and education to nurses and allied health professionals as necessary or as requested.
n




- Liaise with all parties involved in the medical management of clients.
n
- Ensure accuracy and maintenance of all medical records and compliance with professional standards.
n

Qualifications

n

n
- Full unconditional registration with AHPRA as a Medical Practitioner;
n
- Is an unrestricted Vocationally Registered (VR) – FRACGP or FACRRM is preferred.
n
- Significant experience in General Practice or equivalent
n
- Experience with computerised medical records and medical practice systems is highly desirable
n
- Have full working rights in Australia
n
- Current First Aid or BLS certificate or willingness to obtain
n
- Current Federal Police Check or willingness to obtain
n
