Are you a highly skilled Coded or 1st Class Welder looking for your next shutdown or maintenance project?

n

We are seeking experienced and safety-focused welders for upcoming shutdown, turnaround, and maintenance works across major mining, mineral processing, port, and heavy industrial facilities in the Lytton, QLD region.

n

With several projects anticipated throughout the year, we are building a pool of qualified welding professionals who are ready to contribute to critical maintenance and asset integrity programs.

About the Role

n

As a Coded or 1st Class Welder, you will perform high-quality welding, repair,



and maintenance activities on fixed plant equipment and infrastructure while ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.

n

Duties may include:

n

n
- Performing coded welding on structural steel, piping, pressure equipment, and fixed plant assets
n
- Carrying out maintenance, repair, and fabrication activities during shutdown periods
n
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, weld procedures, and specifications
n
- Working to approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)
n
- Completing defect repairs and modifications as required
n
- Working collaboratively with boilermakers, mechanical crews, supervisors, and QA/QC personnel
n
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety, and productivity
n
- Supporting project teams to meet shutdown schedules and project milestones
n

About You

n

To be successful, you will have:

n

n
- Previous experience as a Coded or 1st Class Welder within mining, industrial maintenance, fabrication, construction, or shutdown environments
n
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
n
- Ability to consistently produce high-quality welds to specification
n
- Excellent attention to detail and workmanship
n
- Solid communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
n

n

Essential Requirements

n

n
- Trade Qualification - Boilermaker,



Metal Fabricator, or equivalent
n
- Current welding qualifications and/or coding certifications
n
- Current Driver's Licence
n
- Construction White Card
n
- Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
n
- Australian working rights
n

n

Highly Desirable

n

n
- Previous shutdown and maintenance experience
n
- Current welding tickets across various processes and materials
n
- Experience with fixed plant maintenance and repairs
n
- Working at Heights and Confined Space Entry certifications
n
- High Risk Work Licences
n
- Experience working in mining, ports, power generation, LNG, or heavy industrial environments
n
- Local Gladstone or Central Queensland experience
n
