We are seeking an experienced Cabinet Maker/Joiner to join The Everlast Group Pty Ltd on a full-time basis at our Emu Plains, NSW facility. This is a hands‑on position where you will be responsible for designing, crafting, and constructing high‑quality cabinets and joinery work for residential and commercial projects. Your expertise will be integral to delivering bespoke solutions that meet our clients' specifications and exceed their expectations. This role offers the opportunity to work with quality materials and modern workshop facilities whilst contributing to projects that showcase exceptional craftsmanship.

Key responsibilities

Design and plan cabinet and joinery projects based on client specifications, architectural drawings and project requirements

Operate a variety of woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently to cut, shape, and finish timber and related materials

Construct cabinets, drawers, doors and other joinery components to precise measurements and specifications

Assemble and install finished cabinetry and joinery work on site, ensuring proper fit and finish

Prepare and finish timber surfaces through sanding, staining, sealing and varnishing to achieve desired aesthetic outcomes

Maintain accurate records of materials used, time spent on projects and modifications made during construction

Ensure all work complies with relevant building codes, safety standards and quality benchmarks

Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment and properly store materials and tools

Collaborate with team members,



supervisors and clients to ensure projects are completed on time and to specification

Identify and resolve any issues or defects in materials or workmanship promptly

What we're looking for

A recognised qualification in cabinet making, joinery, carpentry or a related woodworking discipline

Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in cabinet making, joinery or bespoke furniture construction

Proficiency in operating a wide range of woodworking machinery including table saws, band saws, sanders, routers and CNC equipment

Strong knowledge of timber species, their properties, characteristics and appropriate applications

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and specifications accurately

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing work of the highest quality and finish

Solid understanding of joinery techniques and methods including mortise and tenon, dovetails, pocket hole joinery and other traditional and contemporary approaches

Knowledge of furniture design principles and an eye for aesthetic balance and proportion

A valid current Driver's Licence

A commitment to maintaining a safe workplace and full compliance with health and safety regulations





Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to adapt to design changes and project requirements

Experience in both residential and commercial projects is advantageous
