The Refinish Technician is responsible for preparing and painting vehicles to the highest industry standards following accident repair work. The role involves colour matching, surface preparation, and applying paint using professional spray equipment. The technician plays a key part in restoring vehicles to a pre-accident condition, ensuring customer satisfaction and safety compliance.
Key responsibilities
Perform all stages of vehicle refinish including sanding, masking, priming, colour matching, and final coating.
Use spray-painting equipment, HVLP systems, and bake ovens as required.
Mix and match paints to achieve accurate colours and finishes according to manufacturer specifications.
Inspect surfaces for defects and perform touch-ups or corrections as needed.
Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of spray booth and work area.
Comply with environmental, safety, and quality control standards.
Work in coordination with panel beaters, estimators, and other workshop staff.
Maintain accurate job documentation and time tracking for each repair.
Participate in training and keep up with advancements in refinish technology and techniques.

Proven experience in automotive spray painting or refinishing (2+ years preferred).
Knowledge of various paint systems (We use Autolac- water base system.)
Familiarity with colour matching software and spectrometers (advantageous).
