Therapy Co | Benowa, Gold Coast | Part‑time/Full‑time/Contracting Options

Therapy Co is looking for an experienced Mental Health Occupational Therapist to join our growing team in Benowa.

We are a psychology and allied health practice with a strong focus on neurodivergence, mental health and providing genuinely individualised, neurodiversity-affirming care. We work with children, adolescents and adults across a range of presentations, with a significant proportion of our clients being neurodivergent.

We are looking for an OT who already has strong clinical experience in mental health and neurodivergence and is confident working independently within a private practice setting and within the NDIS and medicare space.

About the role

The role will involve working with both children and adults, with the opportunity to develop a caseload around your areas of interest and experience.

Depending on your clinical background, your work may include:

- Functional Capacity Assessments and report writing
- Mental health occupational therapy
- Sensory assessment and intervention
- Emotional and sensory regulation
- Executive functioning support
- Daily living skills and independence
- Capacity building and functional interventions
- Supporting clients across home, school, work and community environments
- Working collaboratively with psychologists, families, schools and other allied health professionals

There is scope for both assessment and ongoing intervention, and we would love someone who can bring their own OT knowledge and experience to further develop this area within Therapy Co.

About you

This position would suit an OT who:

- Is an experienced Occupational Therapist with a strong mental health background
- Has demonstrated experience working with autistic children and adults
- Has a strong understanding of neurodiversity-affirming practice
- Is confident completing Functional Capacity Assessments and high-quality clinical reports

- Understands NDIS funding and functional capacity within an OT context
- Is comfortable managing their own clinical caseload
- Enjoys working collaboratively while still having autonomy over their clinical work
- Is warm, approachable and genuinely values building strong therapeutic relationships
- Has excellent written communication and clinical documentation skills

This is not a graduate position. We are specifically looking for an OT who can bring established clinical skills and experience to the role.

You will also need current AHPRA registration, appropriate professional insurance and relevant checks for working with children and vulnerable populations.

Why Therapy Co?

We want Therapy Co to be somewhere clinicians genuinely enjoy coming to work.

You will be joining a small and supportive team of clinicians who value collaboration, clinical autonomy and providing high-quality care rather than simply filling diaries.

We offer:

- A beautiful clinic environment in Benowa on the Gold Coast
- Established referral pathways and administrative support
- Flexibility around days and working arrangements
- A neurodiversity-affirming practice environment
- A multidisciplinary team with significant experience in autism, ADHD and mental health
- Opportunities for collaboration with psychologists and other clinicians
- Autonomy to develop your clinical caseload around your strengths and interests
- Support to build and grow the OT service within Therapy Co
- A workplace that values clinicians as people, not just billable hours

About Therapy Co

Therapy Co is a Gold Coast psychology and allied health practice supporting children, adolescents and adults.

Our clinic has particular expertise in autism, ADHD, neurodivergence and mental health, alongside broader psychological and functional support.

We are passionate about providing care that is evidence-based, practical and respectful of neurodivergent differences. We also believe clinicians do their best work when they are supported, trusted and given space to practise within their areas of expertise.
