The Village Corner Patisserie & Acai is seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Barista/All Rounder to join our team in Queenscliff, VIC. This is a casual position that offers flexibility and variety in a vibrant hospitality environment. As a Barista/All Rounder, you will be the welcoming face of our business, delivering exceptional customer service whilst preparing quality beverages and food items. This role is central to creating a memorable experience for our guests and maintaining the high standards our patisserie and acai bowl café is known for.

Key responsibilities

- Prepare and serve high-quality espresso-based coffee drinks, teas and other beverages with skill and consistency
n
- Operate espresso machines and other café equipment safely and efficiently
n
- Take customer orders accurately and provide friendly, attentive service across the counter and seating areas
n
- Prepare acai bowls, pastries and light food items according to recipe specifications
n
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the café, including equipment sanitisation and workspace organisation
n
- Process payments using the point-of-sale system and handle cash transactions accurately
n
- Restock supplies and monitor inventory levels as required
n
- Assist with general café duties including opening, closing and stock rotation
n
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth service during peak periods
n

What we're looking for

- Previous experience as a barista or in a café environment is highly desirable
n




- Food handling certificate or willingness to obtain one
n
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for customer service
n
- Ability to multitask and remain calm during busy service periods
n
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
n
- Basic mathematical ability for cash handling and stock management
n
- Flexibility and reliability with regards to casual shift patterns
n
- Enthusiasm for learning and adapting to different roles within the café
n
- A positive attitude and team-oriented approach to work
