As Team Leader Operations, you are the operational backbone of the local facility in Tullamarine. Your main focus is the pragmatic management, capacity planning, and ensuring of the continuous material flow. You will completely relieve the sales team from operational tasks, allowing them to focus 100% on the market. Design engineering tasks are strictly a backup during capacity peaks.

Key responsibilities

Capacity Planning: Pragmatic management and resource planning of workflows for the workshop and inside sales team.

Material Flow & Purchasing: Systemic handling of intercompany orders from headquarters (80% volume) and local procurement (20%). Ensuring continuous material availability (Kanban).

Processes & Standards: Aligning local workflows with the successful Austrian standard of the Heron Group (Global Standardisation).

Operational Leadership: Guiding the team in day-to-day operations and facilitating regular shopfloor meetings.

Systems: Utilizing and maintaining the in-house ERP system (AP+) and CRM.

Engineering (Backup): Occasional support (IronCad) for customer projects, during bottlenecks, or as holiday cover.

About you

Technical background ideally in design engineering in a manufacturing environment.





Proven experience in process organization, capacity planning, and stock management/procurement.

Strong operational common sense and an absolute hands-on mentality.

Knowledge of modern manufacturing principles (Lean) is a robust plus.

Valid working rights for Australia are mandatory.

You are a smart, curious and trustworthy, with good intentions, to always get the rights things done on time.
