We are seeking a skilled and experienced baker to join our Farmer Joe's bakery team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in baking techniques, food safety, and customer service. This role involves preparing a variety of baked goods from scratch, maintaining inventory, and ensuring high-quality standards.

Responsibilities:

n

- Prepare and bake breads, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods from scratch.
n
- Follow recipes to maintain consistency.
n
- Operate and maintain baking equipment, including ovens, mixers, and proofers.
n
- Ensure proper food safety and sanitation practices.
n
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supplies needed.
n
- Decorate and package baked goods for display and sale.
n

Requirements

n

Qualifications:

n

n
- High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate.
n
- Food Handling/Safety Certification- Preferred but not required.
n
- Able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
n
- Experience in scratch baking.
n
- Must be 18 years and older.
n

- Displays robust creative background, able to suggest alternatives, and be open to suggestion.

- Extensive knowledge in food safety, including knowledge of danger zone, temperature control,



storage, logs.

- Expertise in baking.
n

- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while maintaining focus and precision

- Capability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs)

- Skilled in both gross and fine manipulation

- Peripheral vision and near/far visual accuracy

- Effectively hear and respond to instructions in a bustling environment

- Manual dexterity

- Use of step-stools and ladders as needed

- Reaching above, at, and below waist level

- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, and move fluidly around

- Comfortable working in diverse temperatures (hot, humid, cold) and tolerating moderate amounts of dust and cleaning agents

- Able to handle a wide variety of fresh ingredients without adverse allergic reactions

- Maintain stability and balance while executing tasks efficiently

- Convey instructions clearly and communicate with team members effectively, even in busy or noisy environments
