Strawberry Seed Consulting is recruiting an experienced Production Manager on behalf of an established, family-owned joinery and manufacturing business based in South Geelong.

n

This is a key leadership role responsible for coordinating the production team, managing workflow and ensuring custom products are manufactured accurately, efficiently and in line with delivery timeframes.

About the Business

Our client is an established family-owned business specialising in the manufacture of high-quality custom joinery products for residential and commercial projects.

n

With a strong pipeline of work, the business is now looking for a capable Production Manager to take ownership of its manufacturing operations and support the continued performance of the production team.

n

About the Role

n

As Production Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of the manufacturing facility and ensure jobs move efficiently through each stage of production.

n

You will plan and coordinate production, lead and support the team, manage materials and resources, and identify potential issues before they affect deadlines.

n

This is a practical leadership role suited to someone who enjoys being involved in day-to-day operations while also identifying opportunities to strengthen processes, efficiency and workflow.

n

What You'll Be Doing

n

- Managing the day-to-day operation of the manufacturing facility
n
- Leading, coordinating and supporting the production team
n
- Planning production schedules to meet delivery timeframes
n
- Monitoring jobs throughout production and addressing potential delays
n
- Ensuring products are manufactured accurately and to a consistently high standard
n
- Managing stock levels and ordering materials and supplies as required
n
- Ensuring labour, materials and machinery are used effectively
n
- Working closely with management,



installers and the delivery team
n
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe production environment
n
- Ensuring workplace health and safety requirements and procedures are followed
n
- Identifying opportunities to improve production processes and workflow
n
- Setting clear expectations and holding team members accountable
n
- Leading by example and contributing to a positive and productive workplace
n

About You

n

We are looking for someone who:

n

- Has experience managing a factory, workshop or production environment
n
- Has strong planning, coordination and organisational skills
n
- Can effectively prioritise work and keep multiple jobs moving
n
- Is confident leading a team, setting expectations and providing direction
n
- Has excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on quality
n
- Is practical, proactive and comfortable working alongside the production team
n
- Can identify production issues and develop effective solutions
n
- Communicates effectively across production, installation and management teams
n
- Understands the importance of workplace health and safety
n
- Is reliable, accountable and committed to delivering quality work on time
n

n

Experience in joinery, carpentry, custom manufacturing or a related production environment would be highly regarded.

n
