We provide a range of specialised disability support services, including Supported Independent Living (SIL), community participation, in-home support, Short-Term Accommodation (STA), Medium-Term Accommodation (MTA), respite and complex support services.

We are looking for compassionate, reliable and motivated Disability Support Workers to join our team across Western Sydney.

About the Role

As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide person-centred support based on each participant's individual needs, preferences and goals.

You may support participants in their homes, within SIL environments and in the community, helping them with everyday activities while promoting independence, dignity and choice.

This is a rewarding role for someone who enjoys building genuine relationships and making a positive difference in the lives of people with disability.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide person-centred support to NDIS participants in line with their individual support plans.

- Assist participants with daily living activities and personal care where required.

- Support participants with household tasks and maintaining a safe and comfortable home environment.

- Provide community access and support participants to attend appointments, activities and social outings.

- Assist participants to develop and maintain independence in their daily routines.

- Support participants to achieve their individual NDIS goals.





- Encourage participation in recreational, social and community activities.

- Provide support with shopping, appointments and other day-to-day activities.

- Follow individual support plans, behaviour support plans and organisational procedures.

- Support participants with medication-related tasks where appropriately trained and authorised.

- Monitor and report changes in participant wellbeing, behaviour or circumstances.

- Complete accurate progress notes, incident reports and other required documentation.

- Maintain professional boundaries and respect participant privacy, dignity, rights and choices.

- Communicate effectively with participants, families, support coordinators and the Value Care team.

- Promote a safe, respectful and inclusive environment.

- Work collaboratively with other support workers and members of the Value Care team.

About You

We are looking for people who are caring, dependable, patient and genuinely passionate about supporting people with disability.

The successful candidate will:

- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Be reliable, punctual and responsible.

- Be confident supporting participants in their homes and community.

- Be comfortable assisting with daily living activities and personal care where required.

- Have a positive and respectful attitude.

- Respect participant choice, privacy, dignity and independence.

- Be able to work independently and as part of a team.

- Be calm and professional when managing challenging or unexpected situations.





- Have good attention to detail and documentation skills.

- Be flexible with shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays where required.

Essential Requirements

- Current Australian Driver Licence – essential.

- Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability), Individual Support (Ageing & Disability), Community Services or a relevant qualification or willingness to obtain, depending on the position.

- Previous experience in disability, aged care, community services or a similar support setting is highly desirable.

- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain.

- Current Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain, where applicable.

- Current First Aid and CPR certificates or willingness to obtain.

- Police Check or willingness to obtain.

- Ability to provide satisfactory employment references.

- Full working rights in Australia.
