Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tax Accountant. This is a hands‐on role covering accounting, taxation, payroll, compliance, financial reporting and client support. The successful candidate will ideally be a degree-qualified accountant with 1–3 years of relevant experience and be considering, commencing or currently undertaking CA or CPA studies. This position offers genuine scope for professional development and progression into more senior accounting, taxation and finance roles over time.

Key responsibilities

n

Prepare financial statements and tax returns for individuals, partnerships, companies and trusts

n

Preparation of Business Activity Statements, payroll processing, payday super and TPAR

n

Maintain accurate supplier, customer and accounting information in Xero and other accounting systems

n

Assist clients accounting, taxation, general business support matters and administrative duties as required

n

Liaising with the ATO and other regulatory bodies, responding to queries

n

Analysing financial records, income, expenditure,



and operating costs to ensure accurate tax positioning

n

About you

n

Completed Bachelor of Business or Commerce (Accounting)

n

At least one year of practical experience

n

Eligibility to commence, or current progress towards, a CA or CPA qualification

n

Strong attention to detail and a genuine commitment to accuracy

n

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

n

Experience using Xero

n

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

n
