About the role

As a disability support worker, you will provide essential support and assistance to individuals with varying disabilities. You will work 1:1 with people of all ages and backgrounds, supporting people in homes and out in the community. From sharing a walk in the park to helping someone build life skills, your presence will matter every single day.

Key responsibilities

- Providing personal care including bathing, grooming and dressing
- Assist with meal preparation and dietary support as required
- Support people with shopping and housekeeping
- Supporting people to work towards their goals, whether that's building independence or social inclusion
- Develop and maintain positive relationships, based on trust and respect
- Encourage and support clients to be part of their community and do what they love




- Maintain accurate and confidential records of supports provided
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members

About you

- Compassionate, patient and have a genuine commitment to supporting people in our community
- Reliable with a strong work ethic, the ability to work independently and also part of a team
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, boundaries, and sensitive information
- Outstanding communicators, active listeners and emotionally intelligent
- A current First Aid Certificate and CPR
- Valid Australian Driver's License and a reliable, registered vehicle
- WWVP
- Completion of the NDI S Workers Orientation Module – "Quality, Safety and You"
- Prior experience and qualifications are highly desirable
