About the role

JDA Collective are seeking a motivated Graduate Accountant to join our Head Office Finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager and Chief Financial Officer, this role is ideal for a recently graduated accountant (with 1-2 years accounting services experience), who is seeking to build a strong foundation in financial accounting, compliance and management reporting within a multi-venue hospitality business.

You will gain hands-on exposure to end-to-end accounting functions,including gaming revenue, payroll, taxation and internal controls, while being supported to develop your technical and qualified skills.

Responsibilities will include:

- Assist with maintaining accurate financial records and general ledger entries
- Support month-end and year-end processes, including preparation of financial statements
- Perform balance sheet and bank reconciliations
- Assist with monthly management reporting and financial covenant reporting
- Support preparation of BAS, PAYG,



payroll tax and Single Touch Payroll (STP) reporting
- Assist with superannuation, WorkCover and insurance reporting
- Support annual budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
- Assist with accounts payable and payroll processing as required
- Work with accounting, payroll and POS systems including MYOB, Wirely, Deputy and Bepoz
- Support internal controls, particularly around cash handling and venue takings
- Liaise with venue management, senior leadership and external accountants as required

Skills and experience

The right candidate will have:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce or Business (preferably with 1-2 years Hospitality industry / accounting services experience)
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Interest in cloud-based accounting systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- A proactive attitude and genuine willingness to learn
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-focused environment
