The Personnel Connection – Mount Kuring-Gai NSW
Accounts Officer – AP/AR & Administration
Mount Kuring-Gai | $75,000–$80,000 + Super | Full-Time
Are you an experienced Accounts Officer who is confident across both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable and enjoys taking ownership of your work?
The Personnel Connection is recruiting on behalf of our client, an established and growing Australian business in Mount Kuring-Gai, for an experienced Accounts Officer to join their Finance and Administration team.
This is a hands‑on position for someone with a solid understanding of day‑to‑day accounts. You'll work across AP, AR, invoicing, supplier payments, reconciliations, credit control and month‑end, together with some general business administration.
This is not simply an administration position with some accounts duties. We're looking for someone with genuine accounts experience who can work independently, identify issues and follow things through to completion.
The Role
Your accounts responsibilities will include:
- Processing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Entering and processing supplier invoices
- Preparing customer invoices and credit notes
- Processing supplier payments
- Following up outstanding customer accounts and payments
- Completing bank and account reconciliations
- Identifying and resolving account discrepancies
- Assisting with month‑end processing
- Assisting with BAS, GST and financial reporting requirements
- Maintaining accurate and up‑to‑date financial records
- Providing general accounting support to the Finance team
You'll also assist with general business administration, including maintaining customer and supplier records, correspondence,
documentation and supporting the wider team as required.
About You
We're looking for someone who already has hands‑on experience in an Accounts Officer, Accounts Administration or similar position.
You’ll ideally have:
- Practical experience across both AP and AR
- A sound understanding of everyday accounting processes
- Experience with reconciliations, invoicing and payments
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Excellent organisational and time‑management skills
- The ability to manage competing priorities
- Confidence working independently and taking ownership of your responsibilities
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Solid Microsoft Office skills
- A positive, practical and professional approach
Experience with Xero is highly desirable.
Experience with HubSpot, ERP or other business systems would also be an advantage.
Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who doesn’t simply process what’s put in front of them. You’ll be someone who notices discrepancies, follows things up and takes responsibility for getting the job completed properly.
What’s On Offer?
- $75,000–$80,000 + super
- Permanent full‑time position
- On‑site parking
- Bus service available from Berowra Station
- Friendly and supportive team environment
- Broad accounts role with genuine responsibility
- Variety without losing the focus on accounts
- Opportunity to contribute ideas and improve processes
- Long‑term opportunity with an established and growing Australian business
If you're an experienced Accounts Officer looking for a position where you can use your AP, AR and reconciliation experience while becoming an important member of a small team, we’d like to hear from you.
