WSP's Earth & Environment business is transforming how geotechnical, environmental and subsurface data is captured, managed and applied across major projects across Australia. We are seeking a Digital Geoscience Team Lead to drive the national strategy for geotechnical and contaminated land data management.

The role provides leadership across the development and deployment of solutions for the capture, storage, management, interrogation, visualisation and application of ground and environmental data to support project delivery, technical excellence, digital innovation and business growth. The position will drive the development of industry-leading data management solutions that transform how geotechnical and contaminated land information is collected, managed and utilised throughout the project lifecycle.

The Digital Geoscience Team Lead will work closely with technical leaders, project directors, internal digital teams, external software vendors, industry partners and clients to establish best practice approaches for subsurface and environmental data management, digital ground models, reporting automation and data-driven decision-making.

The role will also lead teams of data professionals and project personnel, ensuring the efficient delivery of high-quality,



scalable and commercially successful data management solutions.

As a Digital Geoscience Team Lead you will

- Lead the national strategy for geotechnical and contaminated land data management.
- Develop and implement industry-leading data solutions.
- Champion digital innovation, AI-enabled workflows and automated reporting.
- Lead and mentor multidisciplinary data teams.
- Support business growth and client engagement.
- Lead complex geotechnical and environmental data management projects.

What you'll bring:

- Degree qualification in Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, Geographic Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Management or related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in geotechnical, environmental, geological or related data management roles.
- Demonstrated experience in field data capture and digital field systems.
- Proven experience designing, implementing and managing geotechnical and environmental databases.
- Robust understanding of geotechnical investigation, contaminated land assessment and environmental monitoring workflows.
- Experience leading data management projects at regional or national scale.
- Demonstrated capability developing tools,



systems and processes that optimise the management and interrogation of ground and environmental data.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams of data professionals, technical specialists and project personnel.
- Strong commercial, project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Established professional network across industry, clients, software vendors and technology providers.
- Strong communication, presentation and client relationship skills.
- Demonstrated experience with relevant software packages, in particular:
- ESDAT
- gINT
- OpenGround
- BoreDM

- Experience with GIS platforms including ArcGIS.
