Occupational therapy is where the focus shifts from the condition to the life being lived around it.

About biio.

biio. was built for patients with complex invisible illness — hypermobility, dysautonomia, MCAS, chronic pain, neurodivergence and fatigue, and the presentations that travel with them. In two years we've cared for more than 5,000 people across more than 18,000 consults and grown to a team of more than 70. We're digital-first and care for patients across Australia, with clinics in Melbourne and Perth — and our first Sydney site opening early 2027, with Adelaide and the Gold Coast to follow.

We're an internationally recognised member of the Ehlers-Danlos Society's CORE Network of Excellence, and a finalist in the Australian POTS Foundation Excellence in Care Awards and the 2026 Patients' Choice Awards.

The role

We're looking for occupational therapists to join us — onsite in Melbourne, Perth, Sydney, or fully remote by telehealth from anywhere in Australia — with these presentations as the caseload rather than the occasional complex case. The work spans everyday function and participation — energy and activity, home, work and study, sensory and daily living. Within this patient group there's room to weight your practice toward the work you're most drawn to.

How you'll work

You won't carry these patients alone, wherever you're working from. You'll work within a multidisciplinary team — physiotherapy, nurse practitioners, psychology, dietetics, exercise physiology and our medical consultants — that treats your assessment as part of one shared clinical picture, not a report filed in isolation.



That team already works across cities and by telehealth, so a remote occupational therapist is in the same conversation as an onsite one. Before each session, the relevant picture is already assembled in biio.graphy: correspondence, prior assessments, validated tools and history, so you arrive ready to work rather than rebuilding the file. biio.graphy organises the information; you decide your assessment and clinical plan.

This is also a place to develop, and we've made that concrete. You'll have individual supervision and peer supervision built into how you work, and a monthly cross-disciplinary PD where the wider team learns from each other's expertise. All of it runs online as well as in person, so it reaches you the same whether you're onsite or remote. Practitioners who show they can carry more are progressed faster.
