Myleaf is expanding and is looking for another General Practitioner to join our growing clinical team.
We're looking for a doctor who can commit to a minimum of 20 hours per week, with the opportunity to increase hours over time.
Consultations can be conducted via telehealth, with opportunities also available to work from our established Stones Corner clinic in Brisbane.
Previous medicinal cannabis prescribing experience is not required. Full training and ongoing support are provided.

About the Role
You'll provide consultations to Myleaf's established patient base through our secure telehealth systems.
The position involves initial patient assessments, treatment planning and ongoing follow-up care, with prescribing undertaken where clinically appropriate and in accordance with relevant regulatory and professional requirements.
You'll be supported by established clinical systems, governance processes and a dedicated operational and administrative team.
Your focus can remain where it should be - providing high-quality patient care rather than finding patients or managing a practice.
New to Medicinal Cannabis?
That's completely fine.
Previous medicinal cannabis prescribing experience is not required.
We're looking for capable GPs with sound clinical judgement, excellent patient communication and an interest in developing their knowledge in this area.
Myleaf provides structured onboarding, education and ongoing support.
Doctors with existing experience in medicinal cannabis, Schedule 8 prescribing, chronic pain or other complex patient presentations are also encouraged to apply.
Hours & Flexibility
We're looking for doctors who can provide a minimum of 20 hours per week.
How those hours are structured can be discussed around your existing commitments and our patient demand.
This could suit:
- GPs looking to build a substantial telehealth workload
- Doctors combining traditional general practice with telehealth
- GPs wanting to transition progressively into a larger role
- Doctors looking for consistent additional consulting hours
- GPs interested in eventually moving into a full-time position
Additional hours are available for doctors who want them.
Clinical Independence
All assessment, treatment and prescribing decisions remain entirely with the treating practitioner and must be based on individual clinical circumstances and professional judgement.
Remuneration is not linked to prescribing decisions.
Requirements
- Current unrestricted AHPRA medical registration
- Appropriate Australian working rights
- Strong communication and patient-care skills
- Sound clinical judgement
- Commitment to ethical, evidence-based clinical practice
- Ability to commit to at least 20 hours per week
Experience in medicinal cannabis is welcomed but not required.
