Accessory Fitter - Full Time - We'll Train the Right Person

Ready to learn a trade? We'll teach you everything else.

We're after one person to join our fitting workshop full time. You don't need experience. You don't need to know what a bullbar bolts to. What you need is to turn up on time, listen, have a crack, and care about doing the job properly.

Everything else, we teach you.

Who we are

Offroad Animal Bayswater is a family-owned business. We're not a big corporate shop - the team is small enough that everyone knows everyone, and the person who trains you is the person you'll be working next to every day. Our workshop is modern, clean, well set up, and properly equipped. You won't be scratching around for tools.

What you'll be doing

You'll be fitting 4x4 and towing gear to customer vehicles - bullbars, roof racks, canopies, tubs, side steps, driving lights, snorkels and suspension, plus towbars, wiring harnesses, brake controllers and general 12V electrical work.

Day to day that means:

Working from fitting instructions to get gear on straight, tight and right the first time

Drilling, cutting, mounting and wiring - hands-on work, every day

Running your own jobs start to finish once you're up to speed

Keeping your bay tidy and your work to a standard you'd be happy to see on your own car

Treating customer vehicles like they're worth more than they are

What we're actually looking for

This is the important part.



We would rather take on someone green with the right attitude than someone experienced with the wrong one. We're looking for:

You show up. On time, every day, ready to work. This is non-negotiable and it's the number one thing we're screening for.

You listen and take direction. You'll be shown how we do things. Do it that way until you've earned the right to suggest better.

You ask when you don't know. Guessing on a customer's car costs everyone. Asking costs nothing.

You want to get good at something. Not just collect a pay packet — actually get positive.

You take pride in your work. If it's crooked, you do it again. Nobody should have to tell you.

You're a decent person to be around. Small team. Everyone has to pull their weight and get along.

What you don't need

Trade experience or qualifications

Your own tools

Any prior knowledge of 4x4 gear

What you do need

A current driver's licence - you'll be moving customer vehicles

The right to work in Australia

To be physically fit - you're on your feet, lifting gear and working under vehicles

Basic hand tool sense (if you've pulled apart a dirt bike or built something in the shed, you're ahead)
