Production Assistant/Picker Packer — Casual Roles, Sept to Jan

Why are we hiring?

Bright Star Kids is looking to hire 30-35 people on a casual basis to join our production team through our e-commerce stores' peak sales period, from September through to January. We're especially keen to hear from people who can commit to at least 2 shifts a week starting in September, October or November.

This role is a great fit for school and uni students working around exams and holidays, and it's equally well suited to stay-at-home parents looking to get back into the workforce with regular, manageable hours. Whatever stage of life you're at, if you're reliable, detail-focused and hard working, we'd love to hear from you.

What are we looking for?

We're after people with mature, conscientious personalities who pick things up quickly and take real pride in getting the details right. You don't need any previous experience or qualifications — we'll train you on everything — but you should be:

- Naturally detail-oriented — the kind of person who'll spot a typo on a label or notice something's slightly out of place
- A hard worker who cares about doing a job properly, not just quickly
- Comfortable following a set process and working within a system, while still being able to think on your feet when something needs solving
- Neat, organised and tidy in how you work
- Quick and accurate with your hands — this is hands-on picking, packing and dispatch work
- A good team player who also manages their own workload well

What does this role involve?





You're going to work behind the scenes to help produce and dispatch our top-quality personalised products, made to order. That means sorting, packing and dispatching orders accurately and efficiently, following our step-by-step system so every order goes out right, every time.

Availability

We're looking for people who can commit to at least 2 shifts per week, with availability from September to February being especially valuable to us. Shifts can often work around school hours or holiday schedules where needed. During January's peak, you'll need to be available for at least 3 days a week, including 8-hour shifts.

Bright Star Kids is a family-owned and run business that started in 2005. We specialise in name labels, school supplies and personalised products for families, alongside our two other brands, Bright Star Buddies and Sticker Bug, which also operate out of our warehouse.

Hiring Process
