Job Description

SSX Group is seeking experienced and professional Armed Security Officers for ongoing work across a number of high-profile community, educational and faith-based facilities throughout Melbourne. These are important positions requiring more than simply maintaining a visible security presence. Successful applicants will be responsible for protecting people, property and community facilities while delivering a calm, respectful and professional service. Due to the nature of these assignments, officers must demonstrate strong judgement, situational awareness and the ability to work appropriately within culturally and religiously sensitive environments.

Key responsibilities

n

Providing a qualified armed security presence

n

Conducting foot and vehicle patrols

n

Monitoring access points and controlling entry to facilities

n

Identifying and responding to suspicious activity

n

Responding appropriately to incidents and emergencies

n

Completing detailed incident and shift reports

n

Liaising with site representatives,



emergency services and SSX management

n

Following site-specific security procedures and escalation protocols

n

Maintaining a respectful and approachable presence for staff, visitors and members of the community

n

About you

n

A current Victorian Security Licence with the appropriate armed guard endorsement

n

A current Victorian Firearms Licence

n

A current First Aid and CPR qualification

n

A current Victorian Driver Licence

n

A valid Working with Children Check, or the ability to obtain one

n

Full Australian working rights

n

Strong written and verbal communication skills

n

A reliable and professional work history

n

Previous experience in armed security, critical infrastructure, government, defence, policing, protective services or high-risk community environments

n

Available for a combination of day, afternoon, night and weekend shifts is essential.
