About the Role:

Are you passionate about the outdoors and inspired to help young people grow in confidence, resilience, and teamwork? We are building a pool of enthusiastic casual Outdoor Educators to support our Outdoor Education Program.

Working alongside the Head of Student Engagement, you'll help deliver engaging, safe and well-organised outdoor experiences for students across bushwalking, canoeing, camp-based activities and more. You will play an key role in helping students develop independence, and an appreciation of nature.

While we are especially interested in Outdoor Educator’s available for our Year 10 K’gari Bushwalking camp (14th - 18th September), there are multiple other camps we would require support on, including our Adventurous Journey (Cooloola/Upper Noosa River bushwalking and canoe journey) which occurs four times a year.

What you’ll do:

- Deliver an Outdoor Education Program that builds students' self-confidence, independence, perseverance and appreciation of the natural environment.
- Support students' emotional, social and physical development, fostering teamwork, cooperation and a positive approach to leisure and challenge.




- Plan and lead well-prepared, engaging sessions that meet College and Australian curriculum requirements, adapting to different abilities, needs and learning styles.
- Maintain a positive, respectful environment, provide regular feedback on student progress, and keep accurate records including injuries and illnesses.
- Take responsibility for camp resources and activities, undertake rostered supervisory duties, and consult with the Head of Student Engagement, Year Level Coordinators and Class Teachers as needed.

What we’re looking for:

- Qualifications: Certificate IV (or equivalent) in Outdoor Recreation, Bushwalking Guide/Instructor and Flatwater Canoe/Kayak Guide/Instructor qualifications, and a current Wilderness First Aid Certificate (including CPR).
- Compliance: Current, valid Blue Card (or QCT registration) and a current QLD Driver's Licence.
- Team Focus: A proven ability to work as a constructive, professional and courteous member of a team.
- People Skills: The ability to relate positively with people of all ages and backgrounds, with a passion for inspiring others in the outdoors.
