We are seeking a Town Planner to join ARC Planning in Caboolture, Queensland. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to urban development and planning initiatives.

As a Town Planner, you will play a crucial role in shaping communities and infrastructure development, working on projects that have a lasting impact on the regions we serve.

Key responsibilities

- Reviewing and assessing planning applications and development proposals against relevant planning frameworks and regulations
- Preparing planning reports, recommendations and expert advice on development projects
- Liaising with stakeholders, including councils, developers, government agencies and the community
- Conducting site inspections and undertaking on-ground assessments for planning considerations
- Providing advice on zoning requirements, land use compatibility and compliance with planning instruments
- Supporting the development of planning strategies that align with sustainable development principles
- Maintaining knowledge of relevant planning legislation, policies and best practice methodologies

What we're looking for

- Tertiary qualification in Town Planning, Urban Planning, Urban Design or a closely related discipline
- Demonstrated experience in town planning practice, preferably in Queensland
- Strong knowledge of planning legislation, including the Planning Act 2016 (Queensland) and relevant planning instruments
- Proficiency in planning software and GIS applications
- Excellent report writing and communication skills,



with the ability to communicate complex planning concepts clearly
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and manage competing interests
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality planning outcomes
