Middlemount Coal Mine is an open-cut coal mine which uses conventional truck and excavator methods. Middlemount commenced its full-scale operations in November 2011, producing approximately 4Mtpa of coking and PCI coal for export. Middlemount coal mine has a life expectancy estimated to be more than 30 years.

About the role

We are currently seeking experienced and safety-focused Production Mining Operators to join our operations at Middlemount Coal Mine. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading coal mining operation, operating up-to-date equipment in a dynamic and supportive team environment.

As a Production Mining Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy mining equipment and contributing to production targets while demonstrating a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.

Key Requirements
n

- Proven experience operating Haul Trucks, Dozers, Graders, Water Trucks, Loaders or Excavators
n
- Demonstrated background in open cut production mining
n
- Strong commitment to safe work practices and maintaining a high standard of safety on site
n
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and respond with urgency when required
n
- Positive, reliable, and proactive attitude
n
- Professional approach with the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a high-performing team
n
- Willingness to embrace change and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
