Junior General Maintenance, Parks & Recreation / Labourer

Working as part of the Operations and Maintenance Team, you will assist with the day-to-day upkeep of QRI Village and camp. This is an entry-level role with the opportunity to learn across maintenance, parks and gardens, property upkeep and general labouring. This is a hands-on physical role. Some days will be hot, dirty and hard work.

Key responsibilities

General labouring and maintenance

Mowing, whipper snipping and gardening

Landscaping and maintaining parks and recreation areas

Cleaning and maintaining outdoor areas

Painting and basic patching

Assisting with repairs to accommodation rooms and buildings

Moving equipment, furniture and materials

Basic handyman work

Cleaning gutters and external areas

Assisting qualified tradespeople and experienced maintenance staff

About you

Genuinely hardworking

Turns up on time and is reliable

Willing to listen and learn

Not afraid of physical work

Takes pride in doing a job properly

Can follow instructions and safety requirements





Can work as part of a team

A Driver's Licence and White Card would be an advantage

About us

QRI Village is located at Coppabella in the Bowen Basin, approximately 48km from Moranbah and 150km from Mackay. The Village includes a 300-room accommodation camp, residential housing, community facilities, a club, service station and general store, swimming pool, gym, golf course and recreation areas. This creates plenty of variety and an opportunity to learn practical skills across a range of areas.
