We are currently seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor for a well known Transport client located within the Townsville, QLD Area.

About the role

n

The Operations Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the smooth, efficient, and safe operation of the warehouse. This role oversees daily workflow, manages staff and third-party partners, and supports accurate and timely handling of parcels to meet operational targets and customer expectations. The Operations Supervisor acts as a key point of leadership on the floor, maintaining high standards of safety, efficiency, and quality, while supporting continuous improvement in warehouse processes and team performance.

Key responsibilities

- Manage relationships and daily operations with third-party providers, including courier drivers, Blu/Cot partners, and depot operations teams
n
- Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures; monitor warehouse activities to proactively prevent accidents and incidents
n
- Regularly monitor and respond to emails, internal systems,



and dashboards to stay informed and provide timely updates to relevant stakeholders
n
- Participate in operational tasks as required, including cage sorting, loading/unloading, and assisting with parcel processing during peak periods
n
- Train and support Blu courier staff and other team members on processes, safety, and operational expectations
n
- Identify inefficiencies in workflows and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy, speed, and service quality
n
- Monitor team performance against operational targets, providing guidance and feedback to ensure high standards are consistently met

About you

n

n
- Warehouse, logistics, and/or courier industry experience required
n
- Familiarity with scanning, sorting, and basic freight handling processes
n
- Basic computer skills and ability to use internal systems (e.g., scanning tools, email, dashboards)
n
- Good written and verbal communication skills
n
- Experience with customer service is a plus
n
- Ability to lift and carry parcels up to 15–25kg
n
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active setting
n
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
n
- Reliable and punctual with good time management skills
n
- A team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
