Storeperson - Afternoon Shift (2pm - 10pm)

Southern Steel QLD, Queensland's leading steel supplier and processing company, is seeking a dedicated and reliableStorepersonto join our Townsville branch on the Afternoon shift (2:00pm – 10:00pm).

n

As a key player in our operations, you will be responsible for the warehousing and distribution of steel products, ensuring we meet the demands of our customers efficiently and safely.

n

What You'll Do:

n

Safely handle and distribute steel products using forklifts and overhead cranes

n

Accurately pick, pack, unload, load, and stack materials

n

Operate machinery such as band saws when required

n

Perform general warehouse duties, maintaining a high standard of organization

n

Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all

n

What We're Looking For:

n

Previous experience in warehouse operations or a similar role is highly valued

n

Valid forklift license (preferred)

n

Crane license or experience with overhead gantry cranes (preferred but not essential)

n





Physically fit and able to perform manual labour in a high-energy environment

n

Excellent communication skills and a keen attention to detail

n

A strong team player who can also work independently when required
