We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager and working alongside an experienced CFO, you'll gain exposure to a broad range of accounting responsibilities while supporting the day-to-day financial operations of a growing national business.

About the Role

n

This is a varied, hands-on role that will see you supporting the Finance team across a range of accounting and administrative functions.

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Managing local and international Accounts Payable
n
- Assisting with Accounts Receivable and responding to finance enquiries
n
- Performing bank reconciliations
n
- Assisting with month-end journals and balance sheet reconciliations
n
- Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting schedules
n
- Assisting with fixed asset accounting and depreciation
n
- Supporting inventory accounting and stock reconciliations
n
- Assisting with cost and margin reporting
n
- Working with internal teams including Sales,



Purchasing and Warehouse to ensure financial accuracy
n
- Assisting with KPI reporting and finance administrationAss

- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and finance projects

- Providing general accounting and administrative support to the Finance team
n

About You

n

We're looking for someone who enjoys working with numbers, has great attention to detail and is eager to continue building their accounting career.

n

To be successful you'll have:

n

n
- A qualification in Accounting, Commerce or Business
n
- Around 2-3 years' experience in an accounting or finance role
n
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with financial data
n
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
n
- A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn
n
- The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
n
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
n
- Experience using ERP systems such as NetSuite will be highly regarded
n
- Experience within wholesale, distribution or inventory-based businesses will be advantageous
n
