Lunar Outpost Oceania is seeking a talented Electrical Engineer Intern to join our quick-paced, dynamic team. In this role, you will support design and develop electrical systems for spacecraft and associated technologies. Your work will contribute to groundbreaking projects in lunar mobility and in-situ resource utilisation.
During this 12 week internship, you will be required to work on a full time basis onsite in Burnley.
Applicants must have full, unrestricted working rights for Australia.
Position Description
As an Electrical Engineer Intern, you will:
- Contribute to electrical schematic, PCB and harness design.
- Support development of electrical hardware and systems.
- Assist with PCB manufacturing and assembly.
- Conduct hardware testing and qualification, including test firmware development.
- Research solutions to electrical integration challenges.
- Address radiation and environmental requirements.
- Assist with harness manufacturing and assembly.
- Work closely with hardware and software engineers on design and validation.
- Prepare technical writing and documentation.
- Adhere to safety and ESD protocols at all stages of work.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience studying an engineering discipline at university.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers and software developers, to integrate electrical systems with other components.
- Confidence to participate in design reviews and provide feedback and recommendations to improve system performance.
- Must be legally permitted to work in Australia.
