About the role
We are seeking an Experienced Dental Assistant to join our team at our Aspley, on a part time basis. As a Dental Assistant with us your role will be both in clinic and assisting under general anesthetic at the hospitals we work out of.
Key responsibilities
Assisting dentists during patient treatments both in clinic and at hospital.
Preparing treatment areas and ensuring all equipment is sterilised and ready for use
Assisting with administrative tasks including scheduling, patient check-ins and billing
Supporting the practice in maintaining a clean, organised and welcoming environment
Communicating with young patients and their families
Sterilising and disinfecting instruments and surfaces according to infection control protocols
What we're looking for
Cert III in Dental assisting is essential for working under GA.
Proven experience working as a dental assistant in a clinical setting
Experience working with children a bonus
Self motivated organisational skills
A caring, patient and empathetic approach to patient care
Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain certification
Understanding of privacy and confidentiality in healthcare settings
Preferred: Experience in a paediatric or children's dental practice
