We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join a local government organisation on a contract basis, supporting the delivery of a diverse Capital Works program across civil and building projects.
You will be responsible for managing projects from inception through to handover , including contractor supervision, procurement, budgets, timelines, quality and compliance.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage civil and building projects from planning through to completion
- Supervise contractors and manage project delivery, costs and timelines
- Review plans, specifications, SWMS and ITPs
- Manage variations, contractor payments and project documentation
- Liaise with contractors, consultants, utilities and internal stakeholders
- Provide technical engineering advice and project reporting
About you:
- Degree/Diploma in Civil or Building Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated experience supervising civil/building construction projects
- Strong knowledge of OH&S;, environmental and traffic management requirements
- Robust contractor and stakeholder management skills
- Construction White Card and current Australian driver's licence
