We're working with our client, Pace Live, to find a finance professional ready to hit the ground running in a genuinely interesting part time role.

You may have seen this role advertised recently as an Assistant Accountant. We've since rescoped it as an Accountant role to better reflect the level of the work and the experience it needs. If you applied last time, you're very welcome to apply again.

Pace Live is a global entertainment company operating across live productions and touring in Australia, the UK, the US and New Zealand. They work fast, they work across borders, and they're building something. They need someone who can keep up.

THE ROLE

This is a part-time position, approx. 20 hours per week. There's flexibility in how the days fall and we'll work that out with you, though shorter days spread across the week tend to suit the role best, as there's always something moving. You'll be working closely with the CFO across a multi-jurisdictional group, with real visibility into how the business operates.

WHAT YOU'LL ACTUALLY BE DOING

- Own the books across four countries - AU, UK, US and NZ - keeping ledgers clean and current in Xero
- Keep the AP/AR cycle moving with accuracy and without prompting
- Deliver monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations you can stand behind
- Support payroll processing and stay across compliance across multiple jurisdictions
- Handle indirect tax filings - BAS, VAT,



GST - across the markets we operate in
- Drive a tight month-end close: journals, accruals, prepayments, intercompany - done properly
- Track costs and budgets at a production level - individual tours and shows - where the real numbers live
- Support the CFO with reporting, consolidation working papers and whatever else the business needs to move

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- CA/CPA qualified or working towards it, with 3+ years of solid, relevant experience
- Strong Xero skills are non-negotiable, multi-entity and multi-currency experience a genuine advantage
- Excel skills that go beyond the basics: linked models, clean reconciliations, no shortcuts
- You don’t need a rulebook to operate, you’re comfortable in evolving structures and know how to find your feet fast
- A background in live entertainment, events or project-based industries is a nice-to-have, not a dealbreaker
- Sharp enough to know what the numbers mean, not just how to produce them
