Clayfield College is a leading independent school, owned and governed by the Presbyterian and Methodist Schools Association (PMSA) on behalf of the Presbyterian and Uniting Churches. The Position

The ICT Support Officer will be responsible for the helpdesk, providing level 1 and level 2 support across the College.

The ICT Support Officer must have a knowledge of current computer hardware, operating systems, software, peripherals, networks and a variety of cloud systems. This position will be required to provide support to staff, students and parents relating to the College ICT environment and systems. Diagnosing computer and software problems, monitor computer-processing systems, install software and perform tests on computer equipment and programs. Additionally, the role involves the set-up of computer equipment, scheduling maintenance and training staff and students in the use of programs used by the College.

Professional Responsibilities include

- Operate the College ICT Helpdesk to ensure all incidents and service requests are logged, prioritised and actioned promptly to resolve within reasonable timeframes.
- Provide a customer focused approach with excellent communication to staff, students and parents.
- On-boarding and off-boarding of staff, student and parent accounts to enable use of the College systems in line with College security policies and procedures.




- Escalate tasks that require further technical expertise whilst ensuring relevant users are kept informed of progress.
- Modern device management end user assistance for:
- Mobile phone and iPad management
- Student device management (whether BYOT or College-owned)
- Install specialist software as required and approved.
- Manage and maintain accurate ICT asset (devices, software, etc.) information and allocations.
- Support teaching and learning environments including the operations of our Schoolbox learning management system
- Support for classroom audio visual equipment and assist with events requiring audio visual support.
- Collaborate with ICT colleagues on ICT issues that arise and possible solutions.
- Accountability for complying with health and safety policies, procedures, hazard reporting and protected work practices, particularly in relation to ICT systems design and implementation.
- Provide administration coverage to other business units as required.
- Perform other reasonable duties as required.

Key Selection Criteria

- Appropriate post-Secondary schooling qualifications are desirable.
- Industry certification and relevant ICT experience highly desirable.
- Strong experience in providing customer service excellence.
- Experience in the provision of ICT Helpdesk and Support Services.
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.
- Strong organisational skills and the capacity to successfully manage competing priorities.
- Attention to detail.
- High level problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Sound knowledge of a broad range of technologies.




- General understanding of ICT Infrastructure including servers, wired and wireless networks.
- Demonstrated experience and technical competence in deploying, supporting and configuration of devices based on Microsoft Intune and Apple/JAMF technologies.
- Deploy, configure, upgrade and support devices including but not limited to smartphones, desktops, laptops, tablets, peripherals, projectors, interactive LCD panels etc.
- Experience with basic administration of Microsoft systems including Active Directory, Azure AD and Office 365.
- Familiarity with TASS student management system would be highly regarded.
- The capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Be self-motivated and proactive.
- A strong affiliation or understanding of the College’s mission and vision
- Hold or eligibility to hold a Working With Children Positive Notice (Blue Card)
