Next Level Elevators is a fast-growing business in the residential elevator industry, and we're looking for a reliable, hands‑on Lift Trade Assistant to join our Victorian installation team.

Working across multiple sites, you'll support our Lift Installers, Site Supervisors and Project Managers with everything from site preparation and material handling to assisting with the installation, removal and upgrade of passenger lifts, platform lifts and home lifts.

This is a physical, varied role suited to someone who enjoys working with their hands, being part of a team and getting the job done. For the right person, there is a clear pathway to progress into a Lift Installer/Mechanic role.

About the Role

Next Level Elevators is a quick-growing business in the residential elevator industry, and we're looking for a reliable, hands‑on Lift Trade Assistant to join our Victorian installation team.

Working across multiple sites, you'll support our Lift Installers, Site Supervisors and Project Managers with everything from site preparation and material handling to assisting with the installation, removal and upgrade of passenger lifts, platform lifts and home lifts.

What You'll Be Doing

- Assist lift installers across multiple sites
- Prepare and organise sites, tools, equipment and materials ahead of installations
- Load, unload, move and position lift components and equipment
- Assist installers with components including car frames, guide rails, doors, counterweights and control equipment




- Support basic mechanical and electrical tasks under the direction of licensed installers
- Assist with testing, fault‑finding and commissioning as directed
- Keep work sites clean, safe and well organised
- Complete job sheets, timesheets and other required records
- Work closely with installers, Site Supervisors and Project Managers to keep jobs moving safely and on schedule

About You

We're looking for someone who is reliable, safety-conscious and comfortable with a physically demanding role.

You’ll ideally have:

- Previous experience as a Trade Assistant, labourer or in a similar hands‑on role
- Construction or lift industry experience – highly regarded but not essential
- Experience with manual handling and repeated heavy lifting
- Confidence using hand and power tools
- A positive understanding of site safety and WHS requirements
- A current White Card
- A current driver's licence
- A willingness to travel between sites
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- The ability to follow instructions, work well in a team and take pride in your work

A trade background or qualification would be highly regarded. Working at Heights and First Aid certificates are also desirable.

Please note that this role involves working at heights and in lift shafts, including lift pits and hoistways.
