Production Leading Hand – Precast Concrete

Our client is a well-established, family-owned manufacturer supplying high-quality precast concrete products to major infrastructure, civil and construction projects across Queensland. Who you will be working with

n

You'll join a close-knit precast manufacturing team known for producing quality products and delivering reliably for major civil, construction and infrastructure projects across Queensland.

n

Working closely with the Operations Manager and business owners, you'll become a key leader on the production floor, coordinating the team and ensuring jobs are completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard. This is a practical environment where good ideas are heard and strong operators are trusted to get on with the job.

Duties and responsibilities

n

n




- Lead and coordinate the production team across daily precast manufacturing activities
n
- Allocate labour, equipment and resources to ensure production schedules are met
n
- Coordinate mould preparation, reinforcement, concrete pouring, stripping, finishing and yard activities
n
- Monitor product quality and ensure work is completed to drawings, specifications and customer requirements
n
- Oversee daily production progress and communicate issues, delays and resource requirements to the Operations Manager
n
- Promote safe work practices, maintain housekeeping standards and support continuous improvement across the production floor
n

We are looking for someone with

n

n
- Proven experience in precast concrete, concrete manufacturing, civil construction or a similar environment
n
- Previous experience leading or supervising a production team
n
- Strong understanding of concrete manufacturing processes, including moulds, reinforcement and pouring
n
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and production requirements
n
- Strong focus on quality, safety and productivity
n
- A practical, hands‐on leadership style with a willingness to get involved on the floor
n
- Exposure to the following ISO standardsn n
- ISO 45001:2018 Safety Management System
n
- ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System
n
- ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System
