Key Responsibilities

- Preparefinancialstatementsandincometaxreturnsforcompanies,trusts,partnerships,soletradersandindividuals
- PrepareandlodgeBAS,IASandothertaxationcomplianceobligations
- Preparetaxreconciliations,workingpapersandyear-endfinancialreports
- Completebookkeeping,generalledgerreconciliationsandjournalentries
- Assistwithpayrollprocessing,PAYGwithholdingandsuperannuationobligations
- Communicatewithclientsandrelevantgovernmentauthoritiesregardingaccountingandtaxationmatters
- Identifyaccountingdiscrepancies,missinginformationandcomplianceissues
- Managemultipleclientengagementswhilemeetingstatutorydeadlines
- Assistwithtaxplanning,businessadvisoryservicesandspecialprojects




- Provideguidanceandsupporttojunioraccountingstaffwhenrequired
- MaintainaccuratefinancialrecordsandensurecompliancewithAustralianaccountingstandards
- Deliverprofessionalandresponsiveclientserviceatalltimes

Requirements & Eligibility

- Bachelor'sdegreeinAccounting,Commerce(Accountingmajor)orequivalentqualification
- Minimumtwoyearsofpublicpracticeaccountingexperiencepreferred
- Experiencepreparingfinancialstatements,incometaxreturns,BASandIAS
- GoodunderstandingofAustraliantaxation,GSTandaccountingregulations
- ExperienceusingXero,MYOB,QuickBooks,HandiSoft,XeroTaxorsimilaraccountingsoftware
- StrongMicrosoftExcelskills
- Excellentattentiontodetailandorganisationalskills
- Abilitytomanagecompetingprioritiesandmeetdeadlines
- Strongwrittenandverbalcommunicationskills
- Professional,proactiveandclient-focusedattitude
