Our client is one of Melbourne's premier commercial tilers, run by a group of industry professionals with more than a decade of experience. They offer supply and install services across all commercial, industrial and domestic tiling, stone cladding and waterproofing.

Operating under an integrated management system covering quality, safety and environmental standards, they deliver excellence in workmanship across tiling, stone cladding and hard landscaping — with a proven track record across supply, design and installation. Their work spans a diverse range of projects including residential apartments, aged care facilities, shopping centres, high-end developments, institutions and commercial offices.

About The Opportunity

n

The primary purpose of this position is to take on a newly created role estimating across both tiling and stone masonry projects.

n

Reporting directly to the Director, some of your responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Reviewing tender documents and preparing detailed take-offs and BOQs for tiling, waterproofing, screeding and stone
n
- Estimating stone benchtops, splashbacks and cladding — slab quantities, fabrication, cut-outs, edge profiles and installation
n
- Pricing labour,



materials, subcontractors, plant, wastage, supervision and preliminaries
n
- Obtaining supplier and subcontractor quotes and assessing programs, staging, site access, cranage and EBA conditions
n
- Identifying scope gaps, raising RFIs and preparing tender submissions, optional pricing and value-management alternatives

About You

n

The successful candidate will have:

n

n
- Minimum 3 years' experience estimating commercial tiling and stone packages for Tier 2 or Tier 3 builder projects in Australia
n
- Demonstrated ability to estimate both tiling and stone — benchtops, splashbacks and internal/external cladding
n
- Ability to independently interpret architectural drawings, specifications, finishes schedules, joinery drawings and stone details
n
- Practical knowledge of tiling, waterproofing and stone fabrication, including slab cutting and CNC operations
n
- Competency in Bluebeam, Cubit, CostX, PlanSwift, MeasureSquare or similar, with strong Excel and BOQ skills
