Claims Coordinator - Insurance Restoration

Claims Coordinator to own every job from the first phone call to the paid invoice, for a new property restoration business working across greater Melbourne and Victoria. You take the loss notification, register the claim, get a crew moving inside the response time we've committed to, keep the insurer's portal current, submit the reports, raise the invoice and follow the payment.

Key responsibilities

- Taking loss notifications from insurers, adjusters, builders and homeowners, and registering them promptly
n
- Triaging urgency and getting a crew moving inside our response commitments
n
- Scheduling crews, equipment and subcontractors across a day that changes constantly
n
- Keeping every claim current in the insurer portals and inside SLA
n
- Preparing and submitting scopes, quotes, reports, photographs and completion documentation
n
- Being the calm, consistent point of contact for a client through the whole job
n
- Raising invoices against approved scopes and following up what's owed
n
- Keeping the office running — supplies, PPE, onboarding, registers and records
n
- Building the systems and rhythms this business will run on for the next decade
n

About you

n

- Two or more years in claims, job coordination,



service scheduling or busy administration
n
- A telephone manner that steadies someone who has just had a flood through their house
n
- Genuinely robust written English — you'll be writing to insurers every day
n
- Real attention to detail, and the discipline to finish what you start
n
- Insurance, restoration, building or trades experience is a strong advantage
n
- Experience with insurer claim portals or job management software is a plus, not a must — we'll teach it
n
- 12% superannuation

- Flexible or part-time hours considered for the right person
n
- A suburban office, no city commute
n
- Being employee number one in the office, with real influence over how the business works
n
- Training in the insurance restoration process from someone who knows it end to end
n
- A path to Operations Coordinator or Office Manager as we grow
