Green by Nature is seeking an experienced Greenskeeper / Sports Turf Technician to join our Canberra team, maintaining an iconic oval along with a prestigious education facility. About the Role n

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will be responsible for the maintenance, presentation and performance of sports turf surfaces and surrounding grounds.

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Mowing, aeration, topdressing, fertilising and general turf maintenance
n
- Monitoring turf health and identifying pest, disease or compaction issues
n
- Assisting with seasonal renovation and recovery programs
n
- Irrigation operation and water management practices
n




- Operating and maintaining specialised turf machinery and equipment
n
- Implementing sustainable turf management and integrated pest management practices
n
- Preparing sports fields to a high playing and presentation standard
n
- Collaborating with clients and team members to ensure exceptional outcomes
n

About You n

We're looking for someone who takes pride in producing outstanding turf surfaces and enjoys working in a hands-on outdoor environment.

n

You will ideally have:

n

n
- Certificate III in Sports Turf Management
n
- Experience as a Greenskeeper, Sports Turf Technician or Turf Maintenance Technician
n
- Strong knowledge of turf species, nutrition and turf management practices
n
- Experience operating turf maintenance equipment and machinery
n
- A current driver's licence
n
- White Card
n
- Working With Vulnerable People registration (or willingness to obtain)
n
- Experience with cricket wicket preparation will be highly regarded
n
