The Chance

Key Responsibilities
- Develop,implementandevaluatesportsparticipationanddevelopmentprograms
- Coordinatejunior,youthandadultparticipationinitiatives
- Buildandmaintainpartnershipswithschools,communityorganisationsandsportingbodies
- Planandcoordinatetrainingcamps,communityclinicsandpromotionalevents
- Developstrategiestoencourageinclusiveparticipationacrossdiversecommunities
- Coordinateathletedevelopmentpathwaysfrombeginnertoadvancedlevels
- Monitorparticipationdataandpreparereportstoevaluateprogramoutcomes
- Assistwithfundingapplications,sponsorshipproposalsandcommunitypartnershipinitiatives
- Coordinateschedulesfordevelopmentprograms,facilitiesandresources
- Workcloselywithcoachesandprogramstafftoensuresuccessfulprogramdelivery
- Promoteacademyprogramsthroughcommunityengagementandmarketingactivities
- Assistwiththeplanninganddeliveryoftournaments,competitionsandcommunityevents
- Ensurecompliancewithorganisationalpolicies,sportingregulationsandworkplacehealthandsafetyrequirements
- Maintainpositiverelationshipswithparticipants,parents,schoolsandcommunitystakeholders
- Stayuptodatewithcurrenttrendsandbestpracticesinsportsdevelopment
Requirements & Eligibility
- BachelorDegreeorhigherqualificationinSportDevelopment,SportsManagement,PhysicalEducation,ExerciseandSportScience,RecreationManagementorarelatedfield
- Minimumthreeyearsofrelevantpost-qualificationexperienceinsportsdevelopment,communitysport,programcoordinationorrecreationmanagement
- Experiencedevelopingandcoordinatingcommunityparticipationorathletedevelopmentprograms
- Strongunderstandingofsportsdevelopmentprinciplesandparticipantpathwayprograms
- Experienceworkingwithschools,sportingorganisationsandcommunitystakeholders
- Excellentorganisational,communicationandstakeholdermanagementskills
- Abilitytomanagemultipleprogramsandprojectswhilemeetingdeadlines
- Strongadministration,reportingandprojectmanagementskills
- CurrentWorkingwithChildrenCheckorwillingnesstoobtain
- CurrentFirstAidCertificateisdesirable
