Job Description

OnSite Recruitment is seeking a Machine Operator to join our team on a casual basis in Thomastown, VIC 3074. This is a hands-on operational role that forms a critical part of our manufacturing and logistics operations. As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for running and monitoring machinery, ensuring production targets are met whilst maintaining the highest safety and quality standards. This role offers flexibility typical of casual employment whilst providing the opportunity to be part of a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role is Monday to Friday 6.30am-2.45pm.

Key responsibilities

- Operating and monitoring manufacturing machinery and equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures
n
- Performing routine maintenance checks and reporting any equipment malfunctions or concerns to supervisory staff
n
- Ensuring all production output meets quality standards and specifications
n
- Loading and unloading materials and finished products as required
n
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area in compliance with health and safety regulations
n
- Recording production data and completing relevant paperwork accurately
n
- Following all safety protocols and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment at all times
n
- Responding promptly to instructions from supervisors and team leads
n
- Supporting team members and contributing to a collaborative work workplace
n

What we're looking for

- Previous experience as a Machine Operator or in a similar manufacturing or production role
n
- Strong understanding of health and safety procedures in an industrial environment
n
- Ability to work accurately and pay close attention to detail
n
- Reliability and punctuality, with flexibility to work casual hours as required
n
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions from supervisors
n
- Physical capability to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods
n
- Willingness to wear personal protective equipment and adhere to all safety requirements
n
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and report equipment issues
n
- Proficiency in basic English (written and spoken) for safety and operational purposes
