We are a busy, fast paced café & bakery located on the famous Great Ocean Road in Apollo Bay - currently looking for an experienced café worker to assist with making sure daily operations within the business run smoothly, and also to provide an exceptional level of customer service to our local, domestic and international clientele.

Cafe Worker responsibilities would include:

- - Liaising with other barista/wait staff.
- - Maintaining cake display area in a neat and tidy condition.
- - Cash Handling & card transactions.
- - Taking phone orders.
- - Daily stocktake and ordering of supplies required for front of house operations (coffee, milk, takeaway packaging etc, as needed).
- - Receiving and appropriately storing deliveries, with a focus on stock rotation and food safety.
- - Taking reservations for group functions and, as part of the café team, ensuring that these functions run smoothly.
- - Ensuring that the front of house area is maintained in a clean and organized manner at all times.
- - Assisting with training & supervising of other front of house staff members.




- - Building rapport with our repeat clientele, to ensure their continued patronage of the business – which is essential due to the very competitive nature of the hospitality scene in the area.

To be successful in this role you should have previous work experience within various roles in coffee shops/cafes/patisseries/customer service positions and be able to demonstrate a sound understanding of these roles and their place within the hospitality industry. You must be able to work efficiently both autonomously and as part of the front of house team. You should be available to work during opening hours, including weekends and select public holidays.

Ultimately, you will help increase profitability, boost customer engagement and ensure that the business remains the cafe of choice for locals and visitors alike.

Job Type: Full time

Pay: From $71,481.00 per year + Superannuation
