About the Role
We are seeking an experienced IT Stakeholder Engagement Manager to act as the primary liaison between Technology/IT teams and business stakeholders within a complex ICT program.
You will build trusted relationships, understand business priorities, support alignment between technology initiatives and organisational objectives, and ensure stakeholder needs are represented throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain robust relationships with business leaders, executives, and key stakeholders while acting as the primary point of contact between IT Program teams and assigned business functions.
- Partner with business leaders to understand strategic objectives and operational challenges.
- Develop and execute stakeholder engagement and communication strategies, including facilitating governance forums, steering committees, workshops, and executive briefings.
- Identify and manage stakeholder concerns and escalations and facilitate resolution of conflicts between business requirements and technical constraints.
- Identify stakeholder impacts and resistance points to develop engagement approaches that support successful implementation and business readiness.
Essential
- Significant experience working in large, complex digital transformation programs involving stakeholder engagement, business relationship management, program management or technology delivery.
- Strong executive-level stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build trust, credibility and effective relationships with IT and business leaders.
- Experience developing and executing stakeholder engagement and communication strategies.
- Experience facilitating governance forums, steering committees, workshops and executive briefings.
- Strong experience managing stakeholder concerns, issues and escalations.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate consensus between business requirements and technical constraints.
- Strong communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Experience supporting technology implementation, business readiness and solution adoption.
Desirable
- Agile certification.
- PRINCE2 certification.
- Change Management certification, such as Prosci or equivalent.
- Experience developing reports to measure stakeholder satisfaction and engagement effectiveness.
- Experience analysing and improving engagement processes, governance and communication practices.
