About the Opportunity

Securecorp is seeking an experienced Control Room Operator to join our team at a leading biotechnology and pharmaceutical site in Broadmeadows.

n

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly experienced security professional who has a strong background in control room operations, CCTV monitoring, access control and security systems.

n

Working within a highly regulated and security-conscious environment, the successful candidate will play an important role in maintaining the safety and security of the site, its people, assets and operations.

n

The role requires an individual who is highly vigilant, professional, technologically capable and exceptionally detail-oriented, with the ability to follow strict procedures and respond appropriately to incidents and security events.

Duties and Responsibilities

n

As a Control Room Operator,



your responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Operate and monitor the site's control room and associated security systems
n
- Monitor CCTV systems and identify suspicious activity, security risks and incidents
n
- Manage and monitor electronic access control systems
n
- Monitor alarms, security systems and site activity
n
- Control and verify authorised access to secure areas
n
- Respond appropriately to security, safety and emergency events
n
- Coordinate with Security Officers, site management and emergency services when required
n
- Review CCTV footage and provide accurate information to assist with investigations
n
- Maintain comprehensive control room logs, incident reports and security records
n
- Accurately document and escalated incidents in accordance with site procedures
n
- Monitor multiple systems and information sources simultaneously
n
- Identify potential security threats and take appropriate action
n
- Support investigations through CCTV review, information gathering and accurate reporting
n
- Ensure all security procedures, site protocols and access requirements are strictly followed
n
- Maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive site information
n
- Provide professional communication and support to site personnel, contractors and visitors
n

Key Selection Criteria

n

We are looking for an experienced security professional who can demonstrate:

n

n
- Previous Control Room Operator experience is essential
n
- Solid experience with CCTV and security monitoring systems
n
- Proven experience with electronic access control systems
n




- Excellent computer skills and confidence working across multiple computer-based systems
n
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong observational skills
n
- Ability to monitor multiple screens, systems and information sources simultaneously
n
- Ability to accurately record and manage large amounts of information
n
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
n
- Excellent understanding of confidentiality and information security
n
- Ability to strictly follow procedures, policies and site protocols
n
- Sound judgement and the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
n
- Strong incident management and reporting skills
n
- Ability to work independently while communicating effectively with the wider security team
n
- Experience working within a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, manufacturing, laboratory, medical, critical infrastructure or highly regulated environmentwill be highly regarded
n
- Current Victorian Security Licence
n
- Current First Aid & CPR certification
n

This position is specifically suited to an experienced Control Room Operator with strong computer, CCTV and access control capabilities. Previous control room experience is essential.

n

Rostered Hours

n

12 Hour Rotating Roster - DAYS & NIGHTS

n

The role operates within a 24/7 security environment, with flexibility required to work rotating shifts, including days, nights, weekends and public holidays as required.
