Workshop Leading Hand - Gracemere Depot

Roster

- 7 On / 7 Off roster
- 6:00am ? 4:30pm rostered shifts
- On-call responsibilities in line with operational requirements

Key Responsibilities

- Support and supervise daily workshop operations alongside the team
- Assist with servicing,



repairs, diagnostics, and complex mechanical issues
- Allocate jobs, manage priorities, and ensure workflow efficiency
- Provide guidance, mentoring, and hands‑on support to technicians and apprentices
- Participate in breakdown response, field service callouts, and on‑call duties
- Maintain strong safety, compliance, and housekeeping standards within the workshop

What We Are Looking For

- Certificate III in Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent)
- Demonstrated experience in a senior trade, leading hand, or workshop supervisory role
- HR Licence (preferred)
- Strong technical knowledge across diagnostics, maintenance, and complex repairs
- Sound understanding of compliance requirements and maintenance practices
- Excellent leadership, communication, and teamwork skills
- Strong organisational and problem‑solving abilities
- A proactive, can‑do attitude with a commitment to safety and quality workmanship
