Aligned Leisure is a 100% owned subsidiary of the Richmond Football Club, established as a vehicle to manage the operations of Richmond’s health, fitness and leisure business activities. POSITION PURPOSE:

The Community Development Coordinator plays a key role in supporting and embedding equity,inclusion and participation across Casey Leisure, the City of Casey and the broader community. Workingcollaboratively with Managers, Captains, Council teams and community stakeholders, the role drivescommunity development initiatives that strengthen access, inclusion and engagement across CaseyLeisure programs, services and facilities. The Coordinator provides leadership, expertise and practical support to identify and addressparticipation barriers, strengthen community partnerships and embed inclusive practices throughoutthe organisation. Through collaboration across departments and evidence-based analysis ofparticipation, demographic and community impact data, the role helps build organisational capabilityand ensures programs and services remain responsive to the continually evolving needs of the City ofCasey's diverse communities.
Through collaboration, advocacy and continuous improvement, the Community DevelopmentCoordinator fosters a culture of inclusion and shared responsibility for community outcomes. The rolecontributes to stronger health, wellbeing, social connection and participation outcomes, helping CaseyLeisure create a more connected, inclusive and active community.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Program Development, Community Engagement and Inclusion

- Support Managers and Captains to plan,



deliver and continuously improve inclusive sport,recreation and physical activity programs that engage diverse and priority populations acrosscentre-based and outreach settings, including but not limited to:
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Communities
- Young people (16 - 25)
- People with disabilities
- Multicultural community members
- LGBTQIA+ community members
- Other Priority Groups (as determined by Council)

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with community groups, schools, sportingorganisations, service providers and community leaders to increase participation, strengthen community connections and promote available programs and services.
- Act as a key link between Council, community stakeholders and priority populations to identifyemerging needs, reduce barriers to participation and facilitate collaborative solutions.
- Support initiatives that use sport and physical activity to improve community wellbeing, socialinclusion and connections to local services and opportunities.
- Gather and analyse community feedback and participation data to inform programimprovements, inclusion initiatives and evidence-based decision-making.

Partnerships, Access and Community Participation

- Develop and manage strategic partnerships across Council, community organisations, schools,sporting clubs, health agencies and service providers to enhance inclusive participationopportunities across the City of Casey.
- Proactively develop and pursue partnerships, funding opportunities and emerging initiatives bymaintaining a robust understanding of trends, challenges and opportunities across the sport,recreation and community sectors to drive positive community outcomes.
- Identify and respond to emerging community needs, participation barriers and service gapsthrough collaborative planning, stakeholder engagement and evidence-informed initiatives.
- Lead the development of participation pathways that connect priority populations with relevantprograms, services, facilities, funding opportunities and community support.
- Facilitate partnerships and collaborative projects that strengthen community capacity, improveaccess to sport and recreation, and deliver positive health, wellbeing and social outcomes.
- Act as a key advocate for priority populations, ensuring community voices inform service planning, program development and continuous improvement.
- Represent Casey Leisure & Council across key networks, forums and stakeholder groups tobuild influence, strengthen relationships and identify opportunities that benefit the Caseycommunity.

Education

- Promote the social, health and wellbeing benefits of physical activity through Council programs,services and community initiatives.
- Facilitate education,



training and capacity-building opportunities that support inclusivepractices for staff, volunteers, sporting clubs and community organisations.
- Support pathways that enable community members to develop skills and participate inemployment, trainee or volunteering opportunities within the recreation sector

City of Casey Outcomes Framework and Evaluation

- Manage the City of Casey Outcomes Framework, including data collection, analysis andreporting on health, wellbeing, social and economic outcomes.
- Establish and maintain effective data collection processes across Casey Leisure facilities,programs and services, capturing both data-driven and experience-based outcomes.
- Monitor community demographics, participation trends and emerging needs to supportstrategic planning and service improvement.
- Develop partnerships with health agencies, research organisations and community serviceproviders to support evidence-based outcomes and evaluation.
- Lead and support the Casey Leisure Street Team to deliver protected, engaging and inclusivecommunity activations across the municipality.
- Using data and evidence to coordinate outreach programs, events and community engagementinitiatives that encourage participation in sport, recreation and leisure activities.
- Support the recruitment, training, supervision and development of Street Team staff andvolunteers.
- Monitor participation outcomes and community feedback to drive continuous improvement andmaximise community impact.

HOURS OF WORK:

The nature of this role requires a degree of flexibility in working hours, including occasional afternoon,evening and weekend work to support community programs, events, stakeholder engagement andoutreach activities.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

- Degree in Health Promotion or a related field (desirable).
- Strong interpersonal and relationship development skills.
- Experience in program design, delivery and evaluation.
- Experience in delivering exceptional customer service.
- Experience in planning and delivering events.
- Experience in managing the competing needs of various stakeholders.
- Willing to obtain First Aid and CPR qualifications.
- Working With Children Check.
- Police Check.
