Functional Business Analyst

n

Work across business and technology teams to identify, clarify and document business and functional requirements and support the successful delivery of business and technology solutions.

Prerequisites n

n
1. 5+ years’ Business Analyst experience , with proven experience identifying, analysing, clarifying and documenting customer and business requirements.
n
2. Strong requirements elicitation and documentation capability , translating business needs into transparent functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria and supporting documentation.
n
3. Advanced stakeholder management and communication skills , with the ability to consult, influence and communicate effectively with senior management, business users and technology teams.
n
4. Advanced facilitation and workshop skills , including requirements gathering, clarification, process discussions and stakeholder decision-making.
n
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving capability , including the ability to assess complex information, identify gaps and develop practical solutions.
n
6. Sufficient technical understanding to communicate effectively with developers and testers , clearly explaining business requirements,



functional expectations and solution behaviour.
n
7. Experience working with APIs , including understanding requests and responses and using relevant tools to inspect, simulate or validate API interactions.
n
8. Experience working within Agile development methodologies and established project delivery disciplines.
n
9. Ability to work effectively in ambiguous environments , clarify unclear requirements and progress work where information may initially be incomplete.
n
10. Ability to make decisions and deliver to deadlines without compromising quality, attention to detail or broader business objectives.
n
11. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, includingreport writing, presentations and business documentation .

Candidates should be proficient with: nn
- Jira – requirements, user stories, backlog and issue management
n
- Confluence – requirements and project documentation
n
- API tools such asSOAP UI, Postman or equivalent
n
- Microsoft Excel – analysis, data validation and reconciliation
n
- Microsoft Visio or equivalent – process and workflow modelling
n
- Microsoft 365 tools includingWord, PowerPoint and Teams
n
